Hi....
Yesterday, the alarm led "tube fault" was lit at position 3 and 4 at the same time after a loss of sound, then the sound came back but the leds were still lit: fuses are blown and probably tubes 3 and 4 are dead. :aww:

So I order for spare fuses and when I get it, I'll see if it's just a fuse failure or really a tube failure. If the tubes are dead, I'll have to change the whole quartet, so I order new tubes today but my French tube dealer was sold out with SED "C" EL34s and I just can get them at the begining of October.

So I have 3 questions  :

1. Can I still run my amp with 2 tubes at position 1 and 2 while waiting for the new tubes? (I heard that when running a 100w amp with 2 tubes (50w), it may be with tubes 1 and 4, or 2 and 3, so I worry because I just have tubes 1 and 2 ok)

2. If Yes, do I have to remove dead tubes 3 and 4?

3. When running the VH4 with 2 tubes, is there some impedance change?

It would be so cool to run my VH4 with only 2 tubes otherwise I have to wait nearly 3 weeks and I have to practise with my band.

Thanx in advance for answering me!!!!

Please pull out tube 3 and 4.
Pull tube 2 and plug it into socket 4.

Try to get E34L-JJ
