I just bought the Tourmaster 4x12 straight cab because of the Music123.com 20% off sale, but I can find very little information about the straight version of the Tourmaster cab (other than a good review from Robotechnology). I played the slant at a GC and liked it lot more than my singer's Marshall 1960A with 75s. I was thinking about going with a Mesa Recto 4x12 standard, but I prefer the tightness of the regular sized cabs. So, if you have any experience with the straight, either in stock form or modified, I'd love to hear about them.

Agreed! This cab just so happens to match my custom blond Mesa T-verb and Soldano Avenger. I was impressed with the build quality on the slant, so I'm hoping the straight won't disappoint.

I own an older Egnater 4x12 and it absolutely kills the Marshall cabs I had. I sold all of them including the vintage one because they just didn't sound as good.
I have played the new straigt and sounds very similar. Granted it was not with my MOD head, it was with tourmaster head, but it definitely has the same vibe as the older cab. Speakers weren't broken in yet obviously but nice none the less.
I don't think you would regret that purchase.

Sweet! That's music to my ears.

I have both the straight and slant tourmaster 4x12 cabs

they both sound way better than the marshall vintage with greenbacks I had for a couple of weeks

the slant is full bodied and the slant a bit brighter and not as full bodied.

dON`T YOU MEAN "bi-CURIOUS"??????? I MEAN HE ASKED FOR A COMPARISON TO THE "STRAIGHT" CAB. IS THAT IN RELATION TO THE "GAY" CAB????????? MAYBE WE SHOULD ASK Va Gino.... about this issue. How about it booty bandit Vagino; whats the scoop on this , genius????

I received the cabinet yesterday and let me tell you, it sounds fantastic, even brand new speakers. Just the shear size of the tone is amazing. I'm also impressed with the build quality. The tolex is perfect, the cabinet itself feels like a tank and has the center brace in the back as any quality 4x12 should. I could perhaps nit pick and say that the grill cloth isn't perfectly straight, and I think there is a better method for applying the piping around the grill cloth, but the cabinet looks fantastic. Even my wife liked the way it looked. :)

Did you guys hear something? Some kind of noise liek a rat dying in the wall somewhere?

Any way the cab is very nice. I usually don't dig the V30 style speaker at all, but when I played this one I really liekd it. Those are teh warehouse veteran 30 in that one right. I thought it was really solid.
