So I’m thinking I need to replace my plexi clone filter caps. I’m comfortable doing it, just wanna make sure I don’t miss anything. Is it as simple as discharging the caps and replace? Any precautions at power up after replacement? And what’s everyone liking for caps - fnt? TIA!!

I like ARS for Marshalls. They're very similar to the LCRs from the JCM 800 years. For discharging, one way is to play the amp, and turn it off without putting it on standby. As the sound fades, the caps discharge, but you'll end up with what amounts to a 9v battery left in them. There's a more proper way to do it, and a tech here can chime in on how...the proper way completely discharges them leaving no voltage in them. But, the first way works well enough imo, and I've never had an issue with doing it that way the few times I've swapped can caps out.

Check them with your Meter if you're not sure..
If buying new Caps, I'd just fire them up first with no Tubes and check voltages..
