Plugging amp straight into interface???

I apologize if this is a stupid question. I've got a renegade head and I received a griffin studio connect for Christmas(going into ipad). I like the sounds I get thru GarageBand and jamup, but would love to use my amp. The only inputs on the interface are the 1/4 where instrument plugs in and it also has midi in. Can I plug the head into the interface instead of my cab? I don't want to damage anything so figured I better ask. You guys have been amazing answering questions and I appreciate it big time. unless your interface has a load box, which I doubt it does, you cannot plug your amp's speaker outs to it, otherwise you'll damage the Renegade. You can use the "Record out" on the back of the Renegade to your interface but you'll still have sound going through your cab.
