Playing my Herbert and Columbus today and had a strange problem - switching from distortion to clean = fine. Switching from distortion to clean when playing a note = a pop sound occurs  any ideas? For the first time ever recently I accidentally switched off the amp and then standby, but other than that and moving it for the first time in ages, I've done nought.

Please increase the volume of the clean channel to
fit the distortion channels.

If this don´t helps we have to replace a resistor.

Best,

Peter

Hmmmmm, ok, I'll try this once my house wakes up then post back here   Thanks Mr Diezel

Nope, tried changing the volume about to no avail.

How hard is this resistor to change? I don't really know technical stuff about amps and such so beware

Sam,

a skilled tech can do it in a few seconds.

When the amp is opened I need the version
number written on the board.

Please send an email to peterdiezel (at) diezelamplification (dot) com

Thanks !

Hello Peter

I noticed the exact same thing with my Herbert. Would it be ok for me to send an email to you with my Herbert's Board version number? I haven't got a Midi controller just yet, so for now i'm changing using the front panel.

Thank you for your time Peter.

on the bottom of the amp there are 4 screws unscrew them
then gently slide the amp out of the shell

I've got the amp out but is this the version number or do I need to take it apart further? If so, how?

i believe the version number is on the green PCB board
inside the amp

Ok, well I have the amp removed from the shell, how do I get to the PCB board/remove whatever needs to be? Thanks for your help.

you wont need to remove anything once you get the amp out of the shell
set 2 pile's of books so you are able to set the amp upside down
once the amp is flip you should be able to the green pcb board
all over the board you should see diezel and the version number

P.S. I've added a pic for you
