Bass response = Holy hell thick, tight  which is exactly what i was looking for, they are also alot smoother than the winged C's, and leads sound so rich and warm. I think the winged C's may have been in there for a long time so they may have been worn out, but so far I am very impressed with this tube.

The amp is very 3D sounding now even with my 2x12 cab it sounds fat, and when the 7 string comes out to play all manner of heaviness ensued. The lead 1 channel is far less buzzy and i can use it with a boost now without a noise gate.

So if you want the same sound from your marshall but differant try some KT77's

Good to know. My DSL has winged C's in it right now, and my main complains are the sloppy bottom end, and the unstoppable buzziness on the red channel. Although truth be told I am quite satisfied with the sound I get by boosting (spanking, anyone? the green channel with the plank cranker

I put KT-77's in my Cameron modded Superlead, and my sonic experience was the same as yours. Thick and tight bottom end, and leads sound good. I haven't tried other tubes in this amp other than the old ones (Tesla 34's), but they were worn out so hard to tell how much was just from tube change out. Nonetheless I like the way they sound!
