........Tom Anderson Guitars in Cal. We've been discussing the feasibility of doing one of the seminars at Tom's place if there is enough interest. What do you think??

I've been a long time fan of Tom Anderson guitars and I'm a new fan of the Egnater stuff and the build class is something I would love to do. I actually play a Tom Anderson Cobra through an Egnater Mod50 as my main rig :) Would we also get a tour of the Tom Anderson facility? Depending on times, I'd love to fly in and do that if possible, although there will probably be more than enough locals to fill it.

Ok all you lucky California guys here's what you'll miss if you don't go to Bruce's seminar.
-a fantastic learning experience with the "Amp Guru" Bruce Egnater
-a really fun time with your guitar noodling peers
-confidence to tweak, mod and build your own amps
-you'll really miss having an awesome sounding amp that you get to build with your own hands. This is not a toy, this is a real monster sounding head.

Thanks to Bruce I've built my own and 2 others now, I never thought in a million years I would be building my own amps from scratch.
You'll excuse me if I have to go and mod my original build with a tube buffered FX loop. The other two I built have that feature and I must have it on the first one I built as well.

Here's a video clip of one I just built for a friend, not the one I built at the seminar but the same design:

So get off the fence and jump in, it'll be an experience you won't forget!
One of the coolest things I ever did was attend Bruce's seminar.

The "tentative" plan is to do the one at Anderson in November. We are also planning two at our shop in Detroit. One beginning of October and one at the end of October. Dates to be announced at egnater.com
Cost for the Anderson one will be $2050 because of our cost to "take it on the road". Cost for the classes at our shop in Detroit is $1600. If you would have to fly anyway, it seems the Detroit sessions would make more sense.

I'm in for one. Holding out for the Anderson locale, but will opt for one of the October sessions if the seminar at Tom's doesn't make.

Hey Jarret, are you pretty close to Newbury Park?

Oh yeah, just around the corner :D Nah, actually I am 1500 miles from Newbury Park and 1250 miles from Berkley, MI down in a rural suburb south of Dallas.

The reason I want to go to the Tom Anderson one is that I have been playing Tom Anderson guitars off and on since 1993 and love 'em. My cousin turned me onto them, he lives out near LA and bought one of the early, early ones. Think it might have been a 1988 Pro Am. They were pretty non-existent in Dallas until the early 90's, but once I played one I was hooked. I've owned quite a few of them and even owned one of Tom's personal guitars for a while. I just recently bought one of the new 2007 Cobras and its even nicer than the old ones! Yet, despite being an avid Tom Anderson fan, I've never talked to Tom and have never been out to his shop. No reason to really.

I've been wanting to do one of these amp build seminars, but I keep talking myself out of it, then I heard about the one that might be at Anderson and the light clicked on. I figured that one was fate and I need to make it if I could. So despite living half way across the country, I figured I would give it a go if I could.

:( Thats quite a drive either way.....I'll be pretty stoked if they go through with this one,I'm still only twenty minutes away :)

Is Newbury Park close to any major CA cities? I want to get to one of these seminars eventually and am wondering if maybe this could be part of a bigger vacation in CA. Is it close to Lake Elisnore? Id love to drop into the Suhr shop as well... :D

From LAX to Newbury Park is about 47miles and from LAX to Lake Elsinore is about 77miles....

So I need to know on a scale of 1-10 (1 being least likely to attend), who is serious about attending the seminar at Tom Anderson's? Would probably be in mid November.

Wow! Tom A guitars and Egnater amps. Two of my favorite things.

You already know where I sit on that scale :)

Although I can think of nothing I'd rather do, you'll have to count me out for this one. No denaros right now.

TAG seminar is postponed until early next year. Just too many things going on making it impossible to get together in time. Watch egnater.com for future announcements. Don't forget two sessions at our shop in Detroit on October 6/7 and October 20/21. Better hurry.
