Hi all,

as a new owner of Diezel Einstein Head I am currently in the middle of tweaking knobs and trying to find my sounds. Up until now I have mainly been exploring the clean mode in ch 2 and the heavily distorted regions of ch 1 (think AB, Creed like rhythm tone). I have to say that all the tones I have found so far are absolutely awesome

As I am relatively new to this and therefore a total novice when it comes to EQ'ing my amp, I would love to get some input from you other Einstein users out there. I have already tried the search function on the forum, to see whether something like this has already been posted, but was not able to find anything similar. Therefore I am starting this thread to find out what settings other Einy users have found and loved :)

Looking forward to your input and thanks in advance!

First of all, you might need different settings when you’re playing alone, than in a band situation, as well as in different places or outdoor.

Assuming that you’re playing in your room, start by setting everything at noon (not the volumes knobs mate) and gain at 1 o’ clock. Listen to your guitar.
Then you might feel that you want a little bit of mids or a more scooped tone (it is just your ears and your guitar). I think that slight adjustments between 11 and 1 o’clock with TMB knobs will do the job. If you need more gain move up a mode, other wise move down.
Listen to your sound once again.
Then, the big step. Grab the deep and presence knobs and abuse them. Make it sound crustal clear, jazzy, blue or whatever you like.

Remember that guitar volume is a big ally. Experiment in Texas mode with the amp gain at 2-3 o’clock, and play with the guitar volume.
If you want more, split your coils, or just put down the Les Paul, and take a strat.
This procedure works with me just fine, as a first step in Einstein's soul.

Have fun.

im always tweaking around 12 o clock

set everything to 12 and do fine tuning

i like :

channel 1 mode 2 : gain 2 volume 2 trebe 12 middle 12-1 bass 12 presence 12,5 deep 12

channel 2 : gain 11 vol 2 treb 12 middle 1 bass 12 presence and deep 12

1 meaning 13 o clock

all in combination with gibson sg 61 , esp eclipse emg , marshall 1960 a

With the Einstein you only need one setting:
"ON".......

Texas mode
Everything at 12:00
Depending on how much gain you need tweak the high end.
I used to dial the gain about 4:00, high end around 2:00 & control the rest with my guitar volume, from dirty cleans to metal. It's like what SLO should have been.

Thanks a lot for all of the input, lots of stuff to try out now

Hi fastboy,
