I just got the new GNR module. I'm definitely still in the "honeymoon" phase with it as I've only had time to play on it for about a half hour :(

I was curious what settings others who have this module are using to get that classic GNR tone/sound. I'm also curious to see how much each person's settings vary from one another.

LETS SEE IT PEOPLE!!!!

For me:

Bright: off
Bass boost: 1
Gain: 3:00 to full
Bass: 1 o clock
mids: noon
highs: noon to 1

What I love about the GNR is that *basically* everything at noon sounds perfect.

Bright: off
Bass Boost :1
Bass :10:00
Mids :11:00
Treb :2:30
Channel A Gain : 1:00
Cahnnel B Gain 2:30/3:00
May vary slightly with guitar.

I run almost all of my Eggie modules in what I call the W pattern. Bass at 10 oclock, Mids at Noon, Treble at 2 o clock. They pretty much all sound great this way. GNR is no exception.

Im with Nick and Jason on Bright off, Bass Boost: 1. Gain on channel A dimed, channel B 3 o clock.

Liar. You know these are really your settings:

Bright: toggle switch bent with pliers to point to noon
Bass boost: switch bent with pliers to point to noon
Gain: always dimed but with a sharpee marker tik at noon
Bass: noon
mids: noon
highs: noon

Treble at 2 o clock

My nuts shrink at the thought of that much treble.

I got used to what some would call "bright" tones when I had my SLO for 3 years. Now, amps just sound like they are under a blanket to me if theres not enough high end.

Depends alot on the guitar. I use mostly mahogany guitars, but my N4 is VERY bright already so when I use that I have to back off the treble.
