Identify the amp/modeler (profile/patch)
- EQ knob levels
- Gain levels
- Any pedals that are one and associated settings

Any other pertinent settings. Inquiring minds want to know. Thanks in advance!

for kemper at least, topjimi 68 superlead 8 patch or 68 superlead EVH patch with the IR turned off, Torpedo Wall of Sound V30 or Fane IR in post

gain at noon, BMT all flat, presence at 1

LPD 68 (the lead tone secret weapon) with all knobs at 7

FTT Flight time or Strymon Volante for ambience, generally in triplet or golden ratio subdivisions at around 320ish bpm no matter the tempo of the song

for almost every amp, set almost exactly the same after the modeler part

this is going to be an illuminating thread, fascinating that amp gain is only at noon!

I'm looking forward to trying as many peoples settings as possible!!

Its basically the same type of "before boosting with an 808" people do with their rhythm tone - as in, above ACDC but not chugging levels of gain

And then adding the LPD sixty 8 for the smoothness and responsiveness

Having the amp gain lower and having a really high headroom (18v) low gain overdrive pushing the amp or modeler gives me alot more dynamic expressiveness with still feeling "Squishy" or "Forgiving" for lead stuff, plus the 68 really really excels at musical feedback

It gives the illusion of super high gain without really being super high gain - which, I play metal, so this isn't a TGP tone

this is awesome, I will absolutely be experimenting with this!

In most amps gain is between 4-6 on the dial and TMB and presence are set just below the dials cause the amp to flub, honk, harshen, ear-pierce etc.
Then slam with a v1 koko or an OCD. Sometimes a SD1 to give it a cocked wah if the mix calls for it.

In marshall-based amps I often like to do bass, presence and gain dimed and mid and treble to taste. Gets the amp a bit out of control

Boogie marks is typically everything at 7 and bass and mids at 2-3 max with GEQ to tuned to the room and cab but 750hz typically <0dB

Twin Reverb

Volume: 10 Treble: 10 Mid: 1 Bass: 1

J. Rockett Blue Note Vol: 6 Gain: 6 Tone: 5 Fat: 5

In the above arrangement the Blue Note is just functioning as a boost for the most part. I could take it out of the chain and get by without it (did hundreds of gigs that way) but it gives me a little extra gain when I roll up the volume. I usually keep the guitar vol control between 4 (mostly clean) and 8 (pretty dirty). Going to 10 is basically entering rock n roll gain levels. I have some other less than ideal amp/pedal settings for lower volume events but this is how I run it as often as possible with a 57 classic or similar loaded guitar.

Mesa Boogie Mark III - Classic V but keep a little more 750. Every knob 8 or 2. Pull deep always pulled.
Mesa Triple Rectifier - Every knob around noon.
Peavey 5150 - Every knob between six and seven.
