I noticed this when I tried posting a vid about a Soldano Avenger. The very same format that I had used prior would not embed the video. I thought it was just a one time thing since no one else seemd to be mentioning it. Mark Day also posted a vid and again the embedding was not showing up here for me as well.
At least I know others have noticed the same thing.
So how do you enable unsafe scripts when the page loads? I usually use Google Chrome and I haven't seen this option while the page loads.
This just recently started happening within the last two to three weeks(using Chrome) here on rigtalk when the embedding just stopped showing up even when you embed correctly as in the past postings.
Are other still seeing the embedded videos on other browsers? It seems some people are still able to see the embedded vids judging by some of the comments.
Chrome used to say not secure in the header while the page loaded, now I don't see that.
At the right side of the address bar in the picture I posted you'll see an icon of a sheild with a red X. Click that icon and it will display that box, then you can click 'load unsafe scripts'. I can get it to work this way with Chrome, but Firefox and IE don't show videos for me at all.
My address bar header does not have the red shield next to the bookmark page star like in the screenshot you show. I have an older version of Chrome I guess. I have dug around on the setting and don't see anything like it for an option.
It is funny that now that Chrome no longer lists Rigtalk as "not secure" as it has in the past seems to possibly be a demarcation line I wasn't paying attention as to when it actually stopped showing "not secure"
Thanks for dropping the information, it may be a Rigtalk site issue.
I rarely come to RT on a desktop or PC...mostly I'm here on a mobile device, but yea neither works.
I think it's an RT issue...saying that, I know nothing of language, coding etc...but I think something went haywire with the "recoding" of http v https .... but really ....
