Question of curiosity.... Anyone ever installed power scaling on a wizard? This may be sacrilege to ask so apologies for any offense! Just wondering if that might help tame the volume while keeping the cranked pre and power section tone?

Not required, my MC100 sounds great at low or high volumes.

Only the newest Modern Classics sound decent at lower volumes, the old ones were almost painfully loud.

Have played my old one much lately,2007m. load as hell but can be used home. I've also heard the newer ones sounds better at low vol.

Can't agree there. My 96 MC sounds great at low levels, very smooth and warm.
