Well never had this happen before, but the rocker switch for the mains broke... I took it out and something inside is rattling. I never abuse my gear - is this a fluke or should should I find an alternate part?

Also does anyone have a part number? Can't seem to find it on the body.

Thanks,
Phil

That's kind of a drag. I've seen rocker witches on many types of equipment fail. I think it's just one of those things that happens. I guarantee Egnater is not getting custom made switches for their amps, but just standard parts from Mouser or Digi-Key or somewhere similar. My guess is that if you scoured the Mouser catalog, you could find something that matches the physical dimensions and get you back up and running. In my experience, replacing a rocker switch is one of the easier repairs to do.

Good luck getting your amp up and running.

Yea, I scoured briefly through MS and DK. I even have some that are close although not exactly the same dimensions... then Ian PM'd me and said they're just gonna send me some in the mail! AWESOME! FTR, they said this is very much a fluke occurrence. I myself have never had a rocker switch fail on me so it was a bit unusual.

Great support: another reason I like my Eggy!

new switches are in a box waiting waiting for UPS right now

Yeah, out of the thousands of Power amplifiers with the same type rocker switches I've dealt with (installed, serviced, etc.) I think only a couple actually had bad switches. It's the cheap nasty power centers that we used to sell that were terrible. At least one in every batch would go bad. Eggie's obviously have much better quality parts inside.
