pre amp tubes for V-PLEX???

I just got a 100 watt V-PLEX that was modded by voodoo to a V_ROCK
I really thought it would have a little more Gain? theres four preamp tubes,
just wondering if any knows if different pre tubes would give it more gain??

My understanding was that the V-PLEX is basically Voodoos take on the best Plexi Marshalls they have worked on. Now Plexis are not high gain heads. OD pedal?

yea thats what i found out, I think I am gonna send it to trace to have the high gain mods done.

There were some revisions on the earlier models and it sounds like you have an earlier version. The current revision is very popular with players on all levels. There is more gain, smoother and even easier to play, deeper/richer bottom end.
