Hi everybody,

I'm new here, I'm french (that's why I don't speak english very well)... You can heard my music on my band site : http://www.marilyn-burns.com

I have my new amazing amp since a couple of days :
Diezel VH-4

This amp interested me since two years but I never could try one of them... But recently I heard a VH-4 live in a german group (the Ocean) and I've found it really amazing, this particular tone go thru the mix like no other !
Then I find a good deal western France.

The original owner advise me to go on this forum.

Thanks Peter Diezel !

Here comes my firsts two questions :
I want to play my 2 amps together using the Thru output (amazign idea !! No ABY box needed  ).
If I plug the VH-4's Thru direct in the Engl Savage 60 input, no problem : it works.
But if I plug the VH-4's Thru in my personal midi looper (the Fend's Box you can see on my pedalboard just below) (with just a volume pedal in the only loop) before the Engl's input, I've no sound anymore... I can't explain this problem. Any idea of what does it come from ?

My second question concern the parallel loop :
I use "send 2" for activating the loop only if needed but when I play a channel without loop and then I activate the send2 on the same channel, the volume is boost up !
In the loop I have a GRX-4 midi looper with reverb, delay, and EQ. But even if no loop are activated, the volume is boost up... I don't understand, maybe it is due to GRX-4 buffer, do you think it is possible ?
Here you can see my pedal board :

I do the test to disable the GRX-4's buffer but the problem is still here. It would be unfortunate not to use the Send2 switch fonctionnality just because a volume problem ! :(

How to resolve it ?

In advance, thank you for your help.

You make a ground loop and therefore it´s huming.
Please use a AB splitting box before the amps that
don´t connect the ground of the inputs. The expensive
ones are made with small audio transformers.

You don´t have a "problem", You use the loop in the wrong way.
It´s a PARALLEL loop and Your mix knob on the effects isn´t
there or You dialed it wrong in. As stated in the manuell:
If You use the parallel loop, turn the mix on the effects to
100% wet.

Send 2 on the VH4 is only for switching the parallel loop,
it doesn´t work with the serial loop. We have no loop on/off
switch.

Please use the serial loop for Your pedal board.

Thanks for the kind words,

Peter

Maybe I'm wrong but, if I put a jack with the hot only (without ground connection) betwee thru output and my looper... will it work ?

Ok, sorry for misunderstanding  , I will use the serial loop !

Thanks for your answer !

You are welcome !

Please don´t loose the ground on the input jack.
You need the screen on the wire.

Ok, I will not !

I'd an idea, I plug the send2 into the paralel return with a little jack and I can use the switch send 2 as a volume boost. Great
