Hi,

I had my tremolo strings tightened up to improve subtle drifting out of tune. This approach however limits the tremolo to forward movement and no backward movement. Notice that higher fret bends seem to go 1/4 flat on some of the typical classic rock bends. Want another approach.

Anyone feedback from Suhr or others that have comments about whether the tremol-no will resolve this completely? Any expert installers in the DC/MD/VA area? Does it affect tone?

Well, by installing a Tremol-no, you can either lock your trem completely, allow forward (up from body) movement only, or have it floating (like before, I presume).
This means any tuning unstability caused by the tremolo itself would be eliminated when you lock it.

Are you sure that the tremolo is causing the problem? This could also be caused by the nut being to tight (but this is a Suhr, so naahhhhh   ). Are the strings properly secured at the tuners?

If anything, it will affect tone in a positive direction. I couldn't tell any difference when I put it in my Caparison.
