Hi, folks !
Firstly, please sorry for my bad english.
I have a huge problem with channel switching on my egnater rebel-30 :(
Sometimes I can switch the channels only after full warming of amp, sometimes I cannot switch a channels regardless of warmup. With footswitch or knob at front panel - no matter.
Any thoughts ?
Ufortunately, here (in Russia) is no oficial service or dealers of egnater amps :(

Interesting... That's happened to me ONCE. I was stuck on channel two, with no way to switch it. Then, magically, after about 5 minutes, it started working fine again.

I love my Rebel 30 (I have a head). But things like that (and I've had a significant list of intermittent problems) just don't inspire a lot of confidence.

Hmmmm... 5 minutes ? Warming up ?

Possibly, but still unacceptable. It only happened once, so I can't establish a pattern :)

Where did you purchase the amp from?

I bought this amp in Guitar Center, New Orleans LA in January of 2010. Please, see you P.M for serial number

I got mine at Guitar Center as well.

All three of them, in fact... They replaced the first two for me (had different issues).
The third, and current, one performs well, but I have had several intermittent issues, including
the channel switching problem and various forms of howling/squealing/tone generation (even after replacing the preamp tubes).

Hmmm.....sorry to hear of your troubles. I bought my head/cab a month ago and it works flawlessly.

I am sure that Egnater will make it right for both of you!

If you are still having an issue, don't hesitate to contact nate@egnateramps.com, and he will take care of you as long as you are still within your warranty range. We don't want an unhappy customer floating around out there. Your amp should work properly, and we'll make sure it does for you.

Thanks Ian. I will. And it's been mostly good, just kind of freaks me out when things like that happen. If they become reproducible/troublesome, I'll let you (well, Nate) know.

For what it's worth, I absolutely LOVE the amp the 99.99% of the time it works fine. I never thought I could deal with a small, relatively simple setup like this, but it just WORKS and sounds great!

Since, I bought a Tourmaster which is pretty amazing, but maybe too much amp for my needs. So I'm thinking about trading it for something else, probably a Renegade (which to me is a more powerful/versatile rebel 30).

What's the warranty period, btw?

Hey, I have exactly the same problem. I wrote to Nate, he had me speak to someone from the service Egnatera from Europe (I live in Poland, I bought a Rebel 30 in Germany), but unfortunately zero contact. Sometimes a switch channels without a problem, but usually the first channel switch to channel two takes 30-45 seconds or longer: (

I would send an e-mail back to Nate and let him know that our service in Poland isn't taking care of you. There is no reason to accept a problem with your amp.

I'm really not sure why no one is getting back to you. I will pass your contact information to our international sales person and have him handle this for you.

Silence as the grave is still ongoing ... I will not hide that significantly affect my opinion about the company Egnater :-(

Thank you Ian/ Bruce for your help, today contacted me your company's distributor in Poland and I know everything.

I'm glad they got a hold of you. I don't like hearing that we have a broken amp out there not getting handled.

My amplifier was sent to the site of the shop Thomann, where I bought it a year ago, so it will be repaired in Germany and I politely wait to come back to me - and I miss:)
