I have emailed Nate from Egnater about this problem I am having with my Rebel 30 but I never get an answer so I am hoping someone here can help. I am having a problem with my Egnater Rebel 30's clean channel. It is making a hissing, pop sound at low frequencies. I have attached 2 mp3 files so you can get an idea of what I am talking about. One file is the gain channel with the gain up and for the most part is silent. The other file is of the clean channel and you can hear especially at the end the popping and hiss I am talking about. I tried re-seating all the tubes but nothing changed. I am wondering if I may have a bad tube. Now the sound does not get louder as you turn the amp up and unless you are within 3 feet or so of the amp it can not be heard. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Sounds like a tube dying a slow painful death. I'd start with the pre's and go from there. I'd pick up a couple 12ax7's and start doing a rotation test to see if you can isolate the bad one before you go and blow your cash on an entire new set. If it's in the 90 day period though, I believe Nate/Bruce & co will take good care of you and send you what you need though it might take a little longer comin' through the mail. Best of luck.
