Hey all, I'm back with another blind test!
So I got an Archon 50 a while back. Really digging the amp, easily one of my favorite amps now. It sounds rich, fat and huge. It has a lot of mids, a nice clean channel and plenty of gain plus oomph for the high gain sounds. Can't go wrong with an Archon imho.
I also recently got the NDSP Quad Cortex. I've been really enjoying that mostly because of the captures. The captures can get really close to the amp. It kind of depends on the amp because some amps can't be captured accurately, my H&K Tubemeister Deluxe 40 for example, don't know why... Of course the Helix has an Archon and the Axe Fx III too, so let's do another blind test!
As usual this one was very interesting. I think each platform sounds excellent here. Do they all sound 100% the same? Probably not, but I'm very curious to find out if you guys can guess which one is which. Anyway, enough banter, here's the video:
