I know some of you guys have PRS guitars ... Custom 22, should I order F-spaced DiMarzios or non-F-spaced? Replacing both, guitar has the factory trem.

Thanks

F-spaced .Neck pu is always standard, though  F-spaced (= Fender spaced) is for bridge pu on tremolo-equipped guitars.Although PRS put a standard-spaced bridge pu,it should be F-spaced (on the Cu22's and all trem-guitars).I have F-spaced BKP on my Cu22.

Okay, thanks, so that's an f-spaced at the bridge and regular spaced at the neck ...

This is one topic for which I love to play devil's advocate.

1. IMO, the F-space version of a pickup NEVER sounds as good as the non-fspace version. Try a trem spaced Aldrich vs. the non-trem space. Or, try a JB vs the TB4 version, or Evolution f space vs. non-fspace. You will be floored by the difference.

2. I've NEVER experienced any kind of dropout or weakness with E strings outside of the pole pieces. The magnetic field is HUGE on a pickup.

3. Non-F spaced worked fine for Lynch, EVH, Dimartini, etc.

some guys on the forum agree with me too.

I'm not so sure the PRS bridge is spaced any wider than standard. Measure it?

I just buy standard pickups for my PRS guitars and never an issue! By the way, my stock Dragons are very good. A buddy has a stock Custom 22 and it is one of the best guitar tones I have heard.

Yeah I wouldnt have thought F-Spaced for PRS. This is news to me.
