Weird you mention this. I'm from Texas but actually been there. Cranford is the lessons (run by the father) and Prymaxe is the gear (run by the son). They deal quite a bit in pedals. Its a cool place to visit. Tons of little rooms in a house or something. It's like a maze in there.

Aha! So its the same location, but two seperate businesses? You saw it worth a trip?

Definitely if you like pedals as they have everything under the sun and then some. The nicer guitars are all locked to the racks but they didn't mind taking them down for me to play, but it kind of is a pain to go ask them every time you wanna try a different one. They have some decent amps too. I didn't goto the vintage room because it doesn't seem like it'd be as impressive as Lark Street Music in Teaneck is. They hooked me up in a room and let me try pedal after pedal. I ended up coming home with an Empress ParaEQ. Yes same location 2 businesses. They work hand-in-hand really.

Yeah same place. It's small but they have a ton of pedals so if you wanted to play some then it's worth a visit. Very cool and laid back staff as well. Call before you go to make they will be there, they have wierd hours.

Also, if you're going there then you should also checkout this place in Westfield which is only 5 minutes down the road. VERY cool guitar shop, small as well but he has super nice guitars. He carries Anderson, Suhr, Tyler, LSL, and other boutique brands.

Seems like a place where you can have an awesome time! Not that I'll ever get to go but are they cool with people playing around with them?

Yah, they let me pick the amp and guitar I wanted to try it with. I even went to different guitars when they were gone. They set me up and just popped by every 5-10 minutes to see if everything was alright and If i wanted to try anything else. Very low pressure and nice guys!!

I bought my first pedal ever from Cranford guitar. It was a BOSS BF-2. For what its worth, the owner was a tool back then. Perhaps he is nicer these days. This was back when a Les Paul goldtop cost as much a BC RICH NJ Series Bich...$600.... a long time ago. Of course I bought the Bich....lol

Hey
Both place are very great. I have visited to the both place and i always like to visit these place. Most of the times i choose to play the vintage guitars there and the best thing is that the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I've had nothing but great experiences with Prymaxe.

+1 on Golden Age as well. It is only about 10 minutes away and well worth the trip as they have a great selection of guitars.
