Hello,

I am looking to add an ISP decimator to my rig. My question (for those who have expierience) should I go with the
ISP technologies Decimator G-String Noise reduction pedal or the ISP Decimator PRORACK G. I know the physical difference but which one would serve best???????? Thanks in advance for your answers!

My son uses the Prorack G with one channel in the front and one in the loop.
Works amazing for dead silence betweens chunks. Also talk to Mark Day, he has been using it for a while and turned my son on to it.

So......it has been a while since I set this post. 1st I would like to thank John for chimming in on this with the youtube link. I tried out an ISP decimator and it did a nice job on the front end of the amp, still had head noise. I then ran the ISP G string with the effects loop option and HOLYSHIT!!!!!!! Whatever Voodoo ISP uses to make that pedal go is crazy.

The test....I hooked up the g string and turned all pedals on, EQ, boss overdrive, koko boost (John you and your crew should win some kind of award for that creation) Wah and several more. Gain on my PT100 to 10, master (channel 3) to 6!!!!!!!! G string was off. It sounded like 15 deep fryers going at once. Engaged the G string.......and poof! THE NOISE WAS ALL GONE! I could have heard a mouse shit!!!!!!! The tone was intact with zero variation.

At the end of the day.......if your amp has an effects loop, Get the G string pedal or the rack version. 2nd.....never turn a PT100 up to 6!!!!!! It will blow the hair off your mid section :D !

With the Pro Rack G you do run half in the front and half in the loop.
Also works great !
