There is a wrong opinion about pulling a pair of tubes and half
the impedance on Diezel amps. If You pull 2 tubes the current
through the primary winding on the output transformer is nearly
half the current with 4 tubes. Pulling tubes causes a mismatching
on the primary winding. The result is half power and loosing
sound quality. Maybe this is a matter of taste. Please use the
right speaker output impedance that matches Your speaker cabinet
every time.
Diezel don´t recommend pulling tubes, there is a master volume.
Diezel don´t recommend power soaks. It destroys tone and tubes.
