Hi everyone, hopefully someone can help me with this.
I was playing on my Diezel VH4 and then the sound seemed to sound completely different. I looked in the back of the amp and noticed that the fuses for v3 and v4 power tubes were lit, so I put in new fuses, and when I turned the amp back on again the fuse for v3 power tube stayed lit. So it burned again which led me to assume that powertube 3 was burnt and that powertube 4 was fine except that one had an issue with the previous fuse.
So I went to the music store and bought a matched set of EL34s, however the store didnt have Ruby EL34HBTs in stock, which is what my amp came with when I bought it brand new, so I bought JJ EL-34s.
My question is, will my sound change drastically if I have the original Ruby EL34HBTs in V1 & V2, but then for V3 & V4, they are the JJs?
I noticed as well that the JJs do not say HBT on them.
Thanks for all the help
