Hi, i've got a Suhr S1. I really like this guitar but found that the sound is very bright. It got FL , and ssv. Does anyone have advices to warm up a little bit the guitar? New bridge, new pickups, setup? Thanks.

I found my S-1 very similar all you do is roll off the tone a bit :) If you normally have your amp set up for humbuckers you may have to adjust the eq a bit I found I did as well, but seriously I roll the tone down to about 8, or whatever my ears tell me depending on the pick up. I have the FL with SSV as well, but that's just my opinion I wouldn't recommend changing anything on this guitar. The pick ups are super quite, very articulate and clear, have good harmonic content, and the humbucker is volume wise VERY balanced with the other two pick ups which isn't easy to find a lot of times a bucker in the bridge will blow away the singles and this one isn't to bad.

Does that help at all?

There's also a treble bleed on the volume, so if you often run with the volume at less than full, you are bringing that into play too. It could be easily removed if desired...

Ratter what does a treble bleed mean? It seems like I don't lose any treble when I roll off the volume is that what it means?
