Hey, all -

I've seen the discussions about the T/D module and it seems that some of you are having a hard time getting it dialed in when the D channel is set up right.

Is it that the T channel is too clean, or that the EQ is difficult to get right in conjunction with the D channel?

I'm trying to decide on my module configuration.

Thanks!

I actually really like the Twin side of the T/D module.

You just need to crank the channel volume on it to match the output for the other gain modules, just like a 2 channel amp.

I think Jeff said to set your volume settings on the T/D and base everything else off of that.

I agree. I liked the T side the most. I thought the D was too muddy. I like the BMan better.

I never had any problem balancing channel volumes at all. The gain on the T can go very high without distorting. With my setup, I didn't have any issues balancing bass at all.

I think the T/D is actually a great module. the ONLY reason I had mine modded to a D/D was because I wanted ot be able to use the D side in my RM20, which can only acces ChA of the dual modules.

I have to disagree with Matt. The D side is definitely not "muddy". It's just not that british-flavored upper-midrangey crunch that the BMAN has. It's more of that bluesy, swampy (in a good way) american style breakup. Which is what it's supposed to do. In short, it sounds like it's supposed to.

What he said :D

In Matt's defense, he just naturally prefers bright, punchy tones. He's not a fan of dark tones, or of lots of bass. I'm more of a fan of darker, warm tones, and I don't use NEARLY the amount of treble that he does. Which would explain perfectly why he doesn't like the D side, but I do.

And this is the beauty of the modular system. You don't like a channel - you buy a different module. bam.

I prefer the D side. the twin is really bright for me. I still have to do some tweaking.

Funny thing...is that if Matt likes bright / punchy tones...that would lend me to think that he'd like the T/D more. But that's me :)
