Hello Peter D and Peter S,

I just purchased the Einstein combo here in Australia and I absolutely love this amp!! Thankyou! I am concerned though about the power supply in my local area not being consistent i.e. high risk of power spikes and sags. I like everyone else here would like to prevent damage to my amp as best as possible so could you guys please provide advice on how we can protect our amps from inconsistencies with mains power and also recommend a product that you use to achieve this.

Also while Im at it :D do you guys have a favourite brand of instrument/speaker/effects loop/patch cables that go really well with your amps? I dont know if this helps but I am mainly into hard rock and play les pauls.

Cheers
MD

For cables I'd recommend - based on personal experience and knowledge - Mogami, George L, and Canare. For power protection, there are a number of different surge protector/conditioners available in all price ranges. Check out Furman stuff. I'm sure others will chime in as well.

Hi MD,

If Your amp is wired to 240 volts there will be no problem.
There should be a mark on the backside under the main input.

For cables listen to the guys.

Best,

Peter

I am using Cordial, Klotz and Planet Waves cables along with some other nonames that are just around. These include instrument (Cordial mostly), speaker (Klotz mostly) and patch cables.
Pretty much everything around my studio cabling is Klotz (including multicores). Good quality sturdy cables.

For protection - what studiojig said. Just look through Furman's range of products.

Cheers and congrats on your new best amp,
Niki

Klotz-cables for speakers are good. For the rest of my cables I buy a few meters of CORDIAL CGK 175 SW and some Neutrik connectors and solder it. So you get a very good cable for not too much money

Best amp to speaker cables are,in order:

-Van Den Hul Inspiration Hybrid Speaker
-VOVOX® Drive
-Mogami

Van Den Hul speaker cable has sense if you buy a very short cable 2,3 foot
otherwise Vovox are less expensive and very very good.

Best guitar to amp cables the same as speakers..but vdh are too much $$$ ,
then Vovox or Mogami are a pretty choice.

I prefer G&H to Neutrik.

Voltage stabilizers are one thing, Power Conditioner another..you can see it in the Furman price list.
If you want a Power Conditioner save money and buy PL-8 C...Voltage stabilizer is the P-1800 AR. ;)

Cables --> I use only Monster cables.. Again; I guess it's a matter of taste!
