Hi guys,

I've got a doubt...

Recently, I bought an ISP Decimator ProRackG to make a little company to my Diezel Herbert.
After everything connected and set up, checked everything works perfect, the ISP cut the noise perfectly, BUT I've note that it also cut a little more than I espected...

I explain... I guess this would be normal, but, I used to play a little with the guitar volume knob, for example, in a distorsion channel, I turned mu guitar volume down and reduce the volume and the gain to play some parts of some songs, and then turn the volume knob full to play the rest... (I guess you can understand me)...

BUT...

I've noted that if I do this with the Decimator, then it cuts the signal, and well, it does his job, and cut my sound...

I'd like to know if this can be solved or if there is NO way to do it with the ISP Decimator ProRackG ...

Whatever advise would be really appreciated.

Ben.

First question I have is do you have it in your signal chain correctly? Ideally, the ProRackG should be connected as follows...

Guitar->ProRackG "Channel 1" ->Amp Input -> Amp FX loop output -> ProRackG "Channel 2" -> Any other FX you may have in your loop -> Amp FX loop return

If you have it in this set-up, it shouldn't cut your sound completely since the first "channel" is tracking your clean, undistorted guitar signal and should therefore compensate for your changes in gain and/or volume.

Hope this may help.

Yes, I have it correct...

This is exactly how I made it:

Do any of the Decimator user have this same issue ? or you can actually do it ?

Thanks for the answer ;)

I get a little of that too. I run mine through the parallel loop at 100% while I run my Rocktron Xpression through the Serial loop. That way I can have the Xpression out of the signal chain when the effects are not being used. This probably isn't the optimal set up but it works because I wanted the amp's hum to go away. It is now dead silent. Even with the serial loop off, I still have the issue with the volume knob where the signal gets cut.
