I have heard that the new Renegade 50 will somewhat be voiced like the BMAN and SL2 modules from the MOD50. Can anyone confirm this?

yes and no. The clean channel is very bman in tone. The overdrive channel is very EG3/4 moving into SL2 but only in the gain arena. It still has the tone of our Seminar amp and 3/4

Like Jeff says the clean is very Bman like. I thought the overdrive channel sounds like EG3/4 with the bright switch off but it definitely gets SL2 like with the bright switch on. The amp is a killer for $1000.

Man, I just don't see how that thing can "NOT" be a huge hit. The perfect combination of tones with those capabilities for around a grand. That's just plain crazy. Even though I have my Mod and seminar head........I'm thinking I "need" one too!!  :D

Another Renegade gigging question ,maybe you can answer Jeff ,

Say your dirty ch is tube mix all the way to the el34 side .and one of those tubes goes out .

Could you just flip the mix on that channel to full 6l6 .get through the gig .and then replace the tube or will there be other issues with the circuit if a tube fails ...

any word on if there will be a head version?

There will be a head version a 4x10 combo version, and I think a 2x12 version. The first two I know for sure, but I don't remember if they said a 2x12 combo version.

Yeah that's what I meant to right. How often do I write 4x12 and not 4x10. My head told my fingers 4x10, but finger told my brain to f-ck off ;). Thanks for catching my mistake!

Eric

If the 34's go out you can just throw it to the 6l6 side and finish the gig or vise versa.

It will be produced but probably not purchased by GC in 1x12, 2x12, 4x10 and head.

GC is not selling any version of the Renegade or you mean just not the 1x12?

I think what he is saying is that GC will carry the Renegade, but not in every form mentioned. They may offer the head and the 4X10 combo, but not the other two, vice versa, or any other combination not mentioned. They'll carry it, just not every way imagineable. Regardless, it should be sweet when these things go on sale.

If they are not carried by GC where would we buy them? I want the 1x12. I assume this is the most typical configuration and GC will likely have it.

Well, considering that Music123 and Musicians Friend carry the Rebel and Tourmaster, I'm guessing that alot of the online places will have them.

I could be mistaken, but I believe GC owns Musician's Friend, so more than likely, they would carry the same thing. Also, I believe that Music123 is owned by Musician's Friend, so the same would apply in that case as well.

Egnater will offer up every configuration to GC and then GC will determine which ones they want to carry. Following that, whatever GC chooses to carry will be available to the public. I do not believe you will be able to get certain configurations through MF or Music123 that aren't available at GC.
