Hey guys...
Nearly got my rig sorted now, however I have just one more obsticle to get over...
My VH4 is really quiet now... only a tiny amount of hiss and hum in its base form (and thats when listening closely).
Only problem is that when I add a G-Force to the serial loop, even on unity gain, I find it introduces some hiss to the signal...
Someone suggested to me that it could be becuase the G-Force expects to be sending a balanced signal, but surely using an unablanced cable forces it to unbalanced which is what the VH4 expects?
What level does the VH4 effects loop run at? is it -10dBV?
Does the G-Force output at +4dBU?
If so, I was looking at this http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-EBT-LLS2.html
This will convert the signals to the right levels and also convert the balanced signal to unbalanced and vice versa....
What do you think?
Thanks
