I realized that the majority of the Diezels have the serial number written on and then the signature of the builder.

mine, from 2013, has the serial number imprinted and it's signed by Lars, is this regular?

thanks

Welcome to the forum !

All you said is regular so what do you like to know ?

Best,
Peter

Hello Peter :)

Thanks,

Actually is just to check if everything is regular, I have a friend that has a 2007 and I think it was hand writing so that's why I asked, more out of curiosity.

Also, is there a difference from the 2007 model and the 2013?
I found his a little darker, also he caries EL34 TAD.

Also, when I turn it on out of standby it crackles a bit for a short period of time, is this normal?

And also there's another thing that got me worried, this also happens in my friends Orange, when I go plug the cable in the input it gets a bit hard to go inside, there's some resistence, this happens mostly on fender cables, to get the last part of the jack I need to push it a bit hard, is this a problem?

Thanks :)

Why my friend, why? it's a legit question, I got some bad luck with all 3 of my ex-Mesa/Boogies, one had a super strange problem and went down, the other had a mode that just breaks and another had a faulty cap that fried my tubes so I'm just checking if everything is allright, I don't see why it's a fail to be sure that your expensive high end amp is ok.

Everything is ok.

Also a bit crackling on the preamp tubes is normal if you
flip the standby switch.

Peter

Thanks Peter :) I'm more relieved now, when I had my Road King when one of that noises showed up the amp would break and stop working.

hugs

Well, there's your problem!!! :D   ;)
(I am saying this as a guy whose mesa broke down literally 3 days after warranty expired and the "good" folks at mesa-europe told me to go frakk myself... never again.)

No intention of mine to offend anyone nor I ever used the word Fail.

IMHO it is a bit out of context to compare your new high end Diezel VH4 with oranges and apples.... Just sayin. YMMV.... Couldn't hold my self.

Enjoy your new VH4!

(btw could you ever get your road king properly repaired?)

Not ofended by any means ;) I just didn't understand why the facepalm. just said that they both share the same "problem" with the fender cables in the input.

I did get my RK fixed but not even the technician (a 68 year old man whit years of experience) knew what he did to fix it.

I really like the rectifiers but they are complicated amps.

When i just got my Herbert i saw somebodys name on my amp and thought WTF!
I emaild P. Stapffer right away, he told me to relax and that its the name of the builder and not a previous owner hahaha

I had the same with the input jack, in time it will smooth out.
