Dear all,

for those who have experience with it, I would like to appreciate your feedback on the
use of effect pedals (time/modulation based) in the channel 1 insert loop, here you put the
pedals on the floor(board) and run cables back and forth to the channel insert jacks ....

Thanks,

Jan

It should work fine like that. Or you could leave the pedal in a rack or on top of the amp and control the channel insert on/off via your midi foot controller. Less tap dancing on the pedals. The midi options on the VH4 are great!

Yep.

And furthermore, make sure to experiment with the serial versus parallel loops. Some FX take better to one or the other.

2 cents,
V.

Serial is best for delay. i.m.o

In my opinnion parallel is better for delays (if only you can make the FX-prosessor 100% wet). In fact, both are good, so in the end one could argue that it depends on the case.

Agreed, I like using the parallel for my delays... It keeps my delays subtle but still super articulate.

Dirt, Pitch, Wah, 'Verb...these typically go via serial.

Whatever, to each their own.
