Peter, let me ask you,

what amps or tones were you inspired on when you design the Schmidt circuitry? :)

my guess is Peter's "This is how blues amps are done." model. :)

sure. But I mean, a builder must part from somewhere.

We know the VH4 which is the first Diezel came from a Marshall. I believe Peter modded Marshalls and it all unraveled from there.

So I'm curious as to what was in Peter's head when he started with the design.

Over the years I have my own designs and circuits.

;)

Ok.

I still think you did understand me, or I didn't make myself creal enough hehe, what I'm asking is, what tones where in your head when you were designing. I'm not asking if you copied or modded a fender circuit or a marshall or anything like that, more so the type of cleans you where after?

I think there are three types of cleans that are very easy to differenciate

Fender
Vox
Dumble

right?

what was in your head ? :)

The perfect Class A amp with up-to-date features . . .

I have a guitar, a cab and a solderiron at my workbench
and I treat the circuit till I like it.

I have only in mind which features the amp should have.

Does this help ?

yeah, thank you.

By the way, do you use Single coils too when touching the circuitry?

I have a bunch of "critical" guitars. An earbleeding bridge single coil should
work as also a bassy neck humbucker ....... that gives me sometimes a hard
time concerning also power amp distortion.

It´s hard to get best of both worlds :aww:

that's nice to hear since I'm a Single Coil player mostly

Joey, what happened to you man? Most of your clips in the beginning were covering Metallica (or at least those I've seen :D ).
Where are you going ? :gethim:  What are these clean sounds and single coils.... :gethim:

sheesh....gotta go blow some windows with my still minty Diezel 4x12"....

Judging from the Schmidt clips - it can cover the hard rocking ground in its awesomeness as well :)

hehe well synchu, the thing is I'm more of a pop rock player. I love metal and I was into a metal phase when I bought my first Diezel that's why you see all the metal related videos, but the truth is I'm more into pop rock and blues these days. As a matter of fact my solo artist career is around pop rock blues not metal or hard rock.

I posted more metal clips here because it's what ppl seem to dig more, but recently I've been tired of it and said to myself FUCK IT I'll be the guy posting the blues clips I don't care hehehe :)
