Hey guys need some help and guidance with a Bogner Uberschall that was my brother-in-laws amp (now my sister's amp - he was her husband) that I've had here at my place for a couple years sitting in the road case that came with the amp when he got it years ago. Anyhow just trying to get some more information, I just took this pic of the back where the serial number is because I don't know that much about these amps and it's not mine technically? I have no idea how long it's been since it was serviced, how old the tubes are, when it was last biased, etc. but the power tubes that are in it are JJ EL34's (they have Tube Depot stickers on them) and the preamp tubes looking at the back of the amp from right to left:

closest to back panel are:

Right - Sovtek 12ax7LPS
Left - 12ax7a China (No brand name on tube)

Then the 4 preamp tubes in the front closest to the front metal grill from Right to Left:

Sovtek 12ax7LPS
12ax7a China (No brand name on tube)
Sovtek 12ax7LPS
Sovtek 12ax7LPS

Youve come to the right place. There are several uberschall experts on here. What questions do you have?

Ive had my rev 2 for ten years and love it. Have you plugged it in and tried it out?

JJ EL34s are what came in my rev 2 when i bought it. I liked their sound and like the JJ E34Ls im running now. I would like to know what the other 4 preamp tubes are, but they should all be a 12ax7 or Ecc83 type. One possible exception would be an ECC803 in the V4 position. This is a mellower tube that can be used to enhance the clean sounds. Its what i use in V4, thanks to a suggestion by Death by Uberschall. Im sure he will be checking into this thread soon.

Once you get this thing fired up and dialed in, i have a hunch you will be buying it. Even if youre not a metalhead and just play rock now and then, these amps have a distortion channel thats hard to beat.

Are they still married??? LOL ;)

Because if you play it a few times at moderate volume dialed in correctly it will come up, umm, we'll call it "missing".

That is an old Uberschall before Bogner switched to numbers.
I have an ecstasy 101b that has symbols for the serial ,
But my Uberschall rev 2 has numbers .
I'm not sure when Bogner stopped using symbols and started using numbers ?
