i did a few really quick clips of the herbert


i basically did em to try out some mics.

there are lots of clams! sorry, but i literally just put up the mics, got the signal, did a quick mic placement and hit record.

but you get the idea

some mics tested were

sm57
beta57
md 421
aea r92

used channel 2 without mid cut

forgive the clams

i noticed that too recording myself, too much treble positioning the mics on the centre of the speakers.

Well, I actually miss some bass, it sounds a bit brittle overall but together with the drums quite good! I actually like the presence.
Again prooves that I dislike the SM57 and like the MD421. The SM57 has such a high mid honk to it...
