Hi all...today my amp (4100 TM) did something bizarre. I accidentally left my rig plugged in during a storm (today at work) and when I got home and turned the amp on, the fuse blew. Quick summary...

I tried a new fuse and it blew.

I tried a second fuse just in case and it turned right on.

Turned it off and then back on and it blew the fuse again

I tried a third fuse and it blew

Fourth fuse it turns on just fine, powered it off, waited, powered on and blew the fuse again.

Tried another fuse (5th) and it powered on and has been ok through multiple on and off cycles to test it.

So normally I do not test more than 2 fuses, but it kept turning on and giving me hope. Now it seems OK, but I am still scared something is going to happen. Can anyone offer me an explanation as to why it would blow multiple fuses and then all of a sudden start to operate fine? I think the tubes are fine...

update: blew another fuse. I'll pull the power tubes and try again. :gethim:

Pulled power tubes. Turned it on and off a couple times to test if tubes are causing blown fuses. Successfully powered on several times, but eventually blew this fuse too.

I guess I can rule out a bad tube. Any ideas what might be causing it to blow fuses intermittently? I've never had this happen.
