Quick Rod Tuneage

Working on some new material but mostly my limited mixing/mastering skills. Also wanted to hear a friggin' clip of the QR in a finished tune type setting. There are soooooo many raw amp clips, wank vids, mic placement tests, basic chuga chuga rhythm stuff, live band cam jams, etc, where the amp almost always sounds great, too easy IMO, because most of the killer qualities are not being masked by many other instruments in a mix. I know theres some nice stuff floating around, like a great Satch cover, the nifty Chubtone demo vid with the Charvel, some fusiony clips, etc, but I just wanted to hear more full instrumental tunes with the QR I guess....so I got to work on my own:

Sounded awesome, good job! I think I may be hearing slight wall noise, did you record with the cab near a wall or corner?

Nice catch, Jake! I do have the cab in my little ghetto style iso-room: a sound treated closet, lol. It probably is too close to the walls but shit, it's all I can do at the moment. At least it lets me crank up and not get visits from the neighbors! I'm still tweaking things like mic positions, open/closing the rear of the cab, etc, anyway. Pretty happy with this tune but I hope the next one is an improvement just the same.

quinnethan, "It's A Monster" used to be my staple riff for a long time when posting sample clips, lol...finally some dudes on another board FORBID me from doing it. ;-)

This was a quickie raw amp clip I did last week to test a new guitar I picked up. It also has newer settings than in the tune...

"It's a Monster".....love that tune. Screw those guys they got no taste. How about some Decadence Dance or He Man Woman Hater? :yes: :thumbsup:
