Thinking of getting some sort of DI and Reamping device since I've been doing recording lately without it.

Was going to get the Radial Reamping kit, but then for a little more, I can get a Radial JD7.

Could use it for recording, as well as sending my guitar signal to the many amps I own.

Not much info out there as far as reviews, so wondering what folks thought about it, if anyone has experience with it?

Thanks!

I know Jerry Cantrell uses one in his live rack. Vai has one in his studio. Every review I've read on it seems to be positive. No experience personally but that would be the route I'd go for the purpose you describe.

Devin Towsend swore by it before he went AxeFX. That being said, seems like overkill just for reamping. Where are you getting the "just a lil more?" A Radial REAMP is $199, a JD7 is $1099. You can get a Radial Reamping kit with both the Direct Box and Reamper for $379

I have been considering this as well.

I would love to be able to use and blend my amps. I have enough cabs now to be able to give each had a 4X12. Would be a really cool way to go if it's quite and doesn't cause any problems.

If anyone has used one, I would also like to hear about your personal experience.

Shark, have you tried this? What do you use to witch all those SLO's :D

Warlock, what are you using now? I have tried a few things and am getting ready to give a Lehle SgoS a try. I have it, but haven't integrated it yet.

It's a local deal from a nearby studio supply place, who is a Radial dealer as well.
They have one that was used once (so they say) bought by a Keyboardist who decided it was overkill for what he was trying to do, so he returned it.
So we'll call it an Open Box special...but it comes with full warranty and such, so considered just about new.
for less than new.

I think I might get this today, actually.

I have one and it is serving me well! I use it for splitting to different amps and reamping. The ground lift and phase switch are the features I use and like best. Every now and then I'll use it as a splitter to run effects or preamps in parallel using a mixer. It works really well that way, too.

So what does everybody think is a good di box ? .

I have used a hk red box before and seemed ok , is the radial much better .

Got it!

Will wire it up and test it out soon!

Congrats!!

I am really excited to hear about what you think.

How many amps? Do you have all those in your sig? It sounds like a very cool option to be able to use multiple amps. I could probably use up to 6 heads, not all at once of course.

Can't wait for your review!! Have fun...

i have one

works great.

re amps great.

but i use it mainly as a splitter to multiple amps.

very quiet.

the dragster control is very nice.
