That was such a fun time, everyone's minds blown, wanting to learn guitar. Only certain dudes could even figure out what they were playing in those days. No tabs, no internet. Between Rhoads, EVH, and Vai, it was a field day seeing who could pull it off.

I saw him a few times, he went to the next level after joining Ozzy. Bob Dailey & Max Norman really helped him with writing and arranging, pushed his talent up a notch.

it has lots of elements which could be listened in the Tribute album, specially on the Suicide Solution solo. I love that solo.

Agree, Zakk was dialed in those first two albums. He did an amazing job and his style was fresh right after Jake. Not as technical but you can't deny his precision in the early days on those pentatonic licks. Super aggressive but also had a great sense of melody.
