Too much Ozzy. And keys.

Not enough Randy. Better than nothing

I’m always in for anything Randy. He was my guy.
Same for me. I'll still get on a RR kick at least once a year.

Me and my friends were supposed to go to Knoxville to see that show but my friends parents reneged because it was a school night, a two hour drive and sadly, one of our classmates had just been killed in a car wreck so many of our parents were edgy. I thought no biggie I'll catch him next time. Not to be. The next day driving home after work at the local K-Mart, heard the news on the radio. Oddly the song that came on right before they announced the news was Journey's Who's Crying Now. Every time I hear that song in reminds me of RR and hearing the news on the radio.

Love the Live Solo spot.. that opening pattern always so clean and fast listening to all these bootlegs. So aggressive. Love that about his live playing. Different than VH but always felt meaner. No matter how awesome EVH was, nothing he said at the time can discredit the skill on hand here.

I’ve had that on CDR for about 15 yrs now. Of all the Diary tour bootlegs that’s the best sounding one I’ve come across

Read it once somewhere but to me it always summed it up perfectly:

Eddie was hard rock.

Randy was metal.

I had a copy of cobo hall in detroit from this same week in 82. ozzy struggles BAD on over the mountain at that detroit gig. voice crack city. He struggles here too, but not as bad. randy is smooth and clean of course.

Yeah, Ozzy sounds like he's a bit sharp the entire time.
