Is the Heavy Water Boost by Thorpy good for RATM stuff? Does It have enough gain for my purpose?

morello boosts only with a ge7 with the level up a little i believe

edit: i guess its actually a DOD

Depends entirely on your pickups, amp, settings etc. To answer would just be guessing at this stage - tell us more.

I use a mesa Lonestar (clean Channel) and a PRS CE 24 (81/15 pickups). Maybe should I run the Heavy Water Before a TS pedal?

Why not just use the dirty channel of the Lonestar? They sound ok, especially with a TS or something that rolls off some low end.

Is a little bit too muddy for rythm stuff, but for lead tones Is awesome!

Hmm, ok. I haven't played a Lonestar in while but pretty sure that dirty channel can be massaged to be pretty punchy.

Maybe a TS isn't well suited, have you tried an EQ that cuts lows and adds some upper mids? Or maybe a Klon type boost? I do know the dirty channel sculpted is better for rock tones than the clean channel boosted to hell.

The pedal you linked may work, not familiar with it. One side seems to be a clean boost though, so not sure that's going to deliver what you need. Like most Mesas, the Lonestar reacts well with a HPF-type pedal upfront - especially if you're using a neck Humbucker.

It's just a JCM800/900 type amp tone, with a couple of boost for solo's and such I think.
Any pedal thats gonna get that basic gainy Marshall tone, a Crunch box or Guvnor type pedal into a decent clean could work. The Lonestar is pretty fat and dark on it's clean and drive channels as you say, so you'd need something to scoop the tone and cut the bass a fair bit into it.
Or just tell me fuck you I won't do what you tell me.

I’ve got a Heavy Water myself and it’s a great pedal, one of the very few non-vintage pedal with actually good organic tone/doesn’t suck, but not the right for the job for Morello. It’s more of a big, loose, saggy pedal with germanium warmth and texture to the notes, but fantastic for what it is

I use the Heavy Water for boost a crunch. Is good, and have 2 (+ both sides together) level of boost. On a clean channel, for RATM, is better a MIAB kind of pedal.

He uses a JCM 800 2205 for his tone. They can be killer amps and sound every bit as good as an already boosted 2203/4. I have a 4211(2210 combo) and it's pretty easy to get his tone with the gain down a bit and boosted. These 800s usually go for less than the single channel 2203/4s these days.
That said, his tone isn't my fav....but should be fairly easy to get.

Gotta be honest a PRS into a Mesa is about the last way to get that tone. Don’t care what pedals were talking. That said, check out Drybell The Engine into your clean channel

He doesn't use a lot of gain at all. Very dry, mid gain sound. The bass player really adds the thickness to that band.

This. Commerford fills up a huge amount of space in their sound. Love the bass tone on their version of “The Ghost of Tom Joad.”

Morello also uses his neck position for riffs and rhythm a lot more than most people playing heavier music.

PRS/Mesa is the last thing I’d use for RATM.
Telecaster/Marshall is that sound.

Run your PRS on coil split settings into a Marshall style pedal into your amp’s clean channel. That’s about as close as you’re gonna get.
