A friend of mine I play in a band with just picked up a pair of the Rebel 112X speker cabs to go with the Rebel head he has-Now he's trying to find covers for the cabs-Ideas of places to get them? I know Tuki makes them(nice) but I'm trying to get him a couple of different directions to try......Thanks!!

Bare with me. I search ebay just about everyday for cool Egnater stuff. One thing I've noticed is people spell it wrong, so my search string is:

egnat* -d2f

The * is a wildcard, so auctions with egnater will pop up, as well as incorrectly spelled auctions like egnator.

The -d2f is there because I get tired of reading through their auctions..

..in between every other auction. Click here and you'll see what I mean.

Anyway, I've bought dozens of Cloud 9 covers because I like the fact that Pat, the owner, uses ballistic nylon which is incredibly durable and very water repellent, though you'll pay a higher price for that. I'd say if you're looking for good but inexpensive, don't hesitate to buy a D2F cover. I recently ran into a guitar player I used to tour with that I noticed he had a load of D2F covers. He informed me that Tom, the owner of D2F, was great to work with and makes a great product for less than anyone else. I took at look at the fabric and the stitching and agreed, it looked like a great product.

Good suggestion there Klark. Thanks for the tip. I'll be buying some covers soon as well. I can see this thread being helpful.

One other thing, make sure you're absolutely certain of your sizes and handle cut-outs, because you just might get a cover that was made with an old pattern or different model. I told Pat that I needed 'two 1960A Marshall covers' for my rental cabinets, and this is what I got..

There's about 3" there where you have to stuff your hand in there to grab the handle. :(

I bought a D2F cover for my Tourmaster and like it a lot. The one complaint- minor- that I have about Egnater is that it should include a cover. I think some of the new models do.

Custom Amp Covers, inc. (http://www.amplifiercovers.com) is the OEM cover manufacturer for the Egnater Modular amps that Bruce Egnater makes. He sells the head, combo, and cabinet covers as an option. I know he has covers for the Mod 100 head in his shop right now.

We also make covers for the Rebel head and cabinets that are sold at GC and can be purchased directly from us. If you want to have them made to look like the amps, with the blonde center, black sides, and gold piping - we can do that. We just made a set of covers for a customer with an Egnater Rebel 20 and 112X cabinet with this color conbination. Take a look at the picture below. (sorry but we didn't have a cabinet for the cover).

Please let us know how we can help you with your amp cover needs. Thank you.
