To begin with, apologies this had to be my first post here, but...oh well, here goes.
Anywho, after three years of saving, wheeling, and dealing other gear off, I finally got a Rebel 20 a few months ago. Unfortunately, the joy was short lived. My prized Rebel 20 still works, but now its got some nasty problem I can't solve. When a guitar is plugged in and played, the signal is excessively distorted, muted, and includes some very dissonant harmonic, like I'm playing through a broken chorus pedal or something. When nothing is plugged in, we have a nasty, loud hum type noise. I already tried a tube replacement, and no dice. I fear it could be an issue with the transformer, but I really don't know. Its been my baby and such a great amp, so I'm sure you can imagine how frustrating it is not to have her working properly, especially considering its a studio amp and I'm recording material as we speak. I took it to a local tech, he didn't know what the problem was, so I'm hoping you can provide me with an idea. Thanks for any help.![Smile :) :)](/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
