Hello all

I have recently bought a Rebel 30 to use as part of my recording setup.

I am running the output into the line input of a M-Audio Mobile Pre audio interface, which is a 6.3 mm jack. I am using a XLR to 6.3mm jack lead to achieve this.

The result was a blown output fuse in the amp, leading me to believe that the lead I am using is not wired correctly. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Nick

Hmmm why would you do that?. Run mine to a mixer via XLR then the mixer outs to the M-Audio Audiophile 192.

Moblie Pre has 2 XLR channels, yes? You should be using one of those and then trimming your input gain.

I'll bet what you are trying to do is noisey as hell? You are taking a balanced signal and unbalancing it.

Thanks for your help, running the Rebel 30 into the front panel inputs works fine. I was making the (wrong) assumption that the record line out from the amp should go to the line in of the interface.
