Hello everyone!

Sorry for my english but... :)

I have Rebel 30 head and I'll connect two cabinet for this head. My question is:

If I connect two cabinets - both 8 Ohm, first to MAIN and second to EXTENSION - what Ohm settings on the head is good? 8 Ohm?

regards,
Sebastian

If you plug in two 8 ohm cabinets, you would want to set the amp to 4 ohms.

That means "agree with the above post". Yes, two 8 ohm cabs running in parallel is 4 ohm total load.

Hello,

I was contact with my shop - THOMANN.DE and technicans say me - in this connection you must set impedance 2 x 8Ohm = 16 Ohm - this is serial connection - not parallel like you wrote to me :)
Parallel is only when you connect two cabinet - one to other.

Regards,
Sebastian

Well, I still have to disagree with your tech. If you have one jack into one 8 ohm cab and the other jack into another 8 ohm cab, your load is 4 ohm, which is a parallel load. That is NOT series.

You need to contact Nate or John at Egnateramps.com and ask them.

I would not recommend playing your amp at this type of mismatch either until you get it worked out. If you have a 16 ohm tap on your amp going into a 4 ohm load, that can get dangerous quickly.

Is it me or is this forum SLOW!!!!!!I would tend to agree with these guys!!!

I know it has been an issue, but please try again. I don't want you to damage your amp man.

Does the manual not say anything about it? I can't get to the Eggie site from work, or I'd look in there for you.

Nate request in this moment! :)

....
2 8ohm cabs equal a 4 ohm loud on the head
....

THANKS!!!
