I recently purchased an Egnater Rebel 30 amplifier. Let me start by saying I love this amp. However after about a week of playing, the amp has started to make a noise while playing on any string from g to low e. The noise sounds like change jittering inside of the amp. As well the bass tones have become overpowering even with the bass turned almost completely down on the clean channel (although both of these problems occur on either channel), it is still too loud. I was wondering if you had any idea what the problem may be, and if so if you could tell me how to go about getting it fixed.

Ok so it seems I jumped the gun. We can't confirm its the JJ"s. We are working on determining what the cause is and will post solutions as soon as John determines the cause.

How do I go about finding out what kind of el-84 my amp has?

Just pull 'em and read the label on the glass. Gently rock it back and forth while pulling out of the socket.

I've been messing around with the tube mixing and seeing if it's stronger on one side than on the other. Turns out it was much stronger on the 6v6 side. So then I thought maybe a piece was loose in one of the tubes so I played the low e and put my finger on one and both tubes to see if that stopped the rattling. Come to find out it did, the 6v6 tube furthest to the right must have something loose in the bottom or something because when i hold it still with a little pressure the rattle stops.
