I have a Rebel 30 head with 2 of the 1x12 cabinets stacked and really love the sound, but in thinking of convenience I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge of any sound differences between that and the Tourmaster 2x12 cabinet?

I have the 2 1x12s that i've been using side by side with the mod50 for at home and they do sound really good, but I really like the TM 2x12. It just sounds bigger and "more open" to me. I'm awful at describing sounds... If you're near a guitar center see if you can ask them to try it out. If you can't get a good listen at the store, you could always buy the 2x12 and then use their 30 or 45 day return so you can give it a good test with your rig.

In my opinion, and many others who have played it, you really can't go wrong with the TM 2x12. I'm looking to pick one up too, and maybe then use the 1x12s for wet sounds or stereo. If you liked the 2 1x12s, I think you'll really like the TM 2x12.

You won't regret it!

Be aware that just like the 1x12 speakers, the 2x12 speakers may require some break in time too. My friends 2x12 though, sounded good since the day he got it..but I think it was a floor model so maybe it had some play to it already.

Enjoy!

I actually think the 2 1x12s are more convenient (for me, anyway). Ever since a neck injury, I've been careful about lifting things that were too heavy. The 2 1x12 cabs are fairly light on their own, so they're easy to transport. When I'm practicing or playing a small gig, I have the option of just using one. But I'd definitely have a 2x12 if weight wasn't a concern!

Hmmm...wonder how 4 1x12s would sound...!
