My rm100 went down right before an audition, so I bought an Egnater Rebel....very cool amp, good tone, impressed the band enough to warrant continued jams= mission accomplished

Now I'm thinking for the same money I could get an rm20 head and use all these modules I invested in...but this Rebel does sound inspiring, and the 1 watt is funny (though still way LOUD, dare I say too loud when the family is sleeping?)

Can an rm4 or m4 or e2 feed into the return on the Rebel fx loop?
Would an rm100 do it- is that what slave does?

I have 30 days to play around before I return it if that's the option- hard to do when it sounds this good!

I guess in the end it's rm20 vs rebel...I like the bias points on the Randall, as well as the modules. I like the wattage and tube control on the Eggy, and it did bail my ass out...

Any feedback appreciated!

1. yes

2. I don't know if the slave can operate without a load on the RM-100. Maybe Bruce can chime in. :rock:

Yes you can do that. Slave out is intended for that purpose. BUT, You always need a load on an amp, even if your slaving it. The slave is line level out but it is post power section so it gives you the tonal coloration of the power amp. If you wanted to only hear the preamp section, you would run from the FX send of the head into another amps return. You can always run a preamp into the FX return on an amp to use the head/combo as a power amp only.

ok, so forgive me as I try to connect the dots...

If I have an rm100 and an m4

I take the fx send from the m4 and put it into the fx return of my rm100

which amp do I plug my guitar into? The nm4...meaning the rm100 mods are not usuable(?)

Please correct if I'm wrong, I'm very dizzy and accident prone!

I think you get it.

Guitar--->Egnater M4---->RM100 FX return.

RM100 mods will not be used unless you integrate some sort of switcher and mixer.

I hooked up my m4 to the rebel. :rock: Just go guitar -- M4 --- effects return. I hit the ground lift switch to kill the hum and it was smooth sailing from there on.
