Simon & Patrick are very nice.feintguitarist":017d0 said:How much are you wanting to spend?
Could get a high end Simon and Patrick for around $800-850..
Comes with hardshell case and is all wood..no laminates.
Godin's are a steal, especially if you're in Canada. :mrgreen:guitar_played":dbd10 said:Simon & Patrick are very nice.
Very playable necks, check out Seagull and Norman as well (all in the godin family)
Yamaha makes some very nice acoustics in the mid range.
Higher end taylors are my favourite production acoustics, Larrivee are also very nice.

You want to look for a guitar that has a soild top! Helps with holding the tone.

Are great guitars for the price. (All solded tops)
($400-$600)
I have own Seagull M6 & M12 (they sound great - have a bright tone (Mahogany & Spruce combination on both).
($300-$500)
I have also owned the "S" Series (S6, S6CTQII) - great bang for your buck. These guitars had a deeper tone (All Cedar).
If you have a little more in your budget I would try one of these!

Larrivee's are great higher end (affordable) guitar IMO
Check out the L03 & D05 (you can get them starting around $790 & up)
I'm planing on getting the D03RE in Dec.
hope this helps
