Recommend a Multi-Meter - For tube swaps

I know some of you guys swap tubes on new amps as soon as you get the amp. I don't do that. At least not yet. But, eventually I want to try a few different tubes on the Rebel.

I need to get a Multi-meter to do the biasing.

I've seen multiple meters anywhere from $10 to $150. I don't want to spend a whole lot of money for something I'm only going to use every once in a while, but I also don't want a cheap crap one that's going to break after one use.

>>>>>>>Any recommendations?

I just bought a $25 dollar one from Home Depot. Worked 100% fine.

There's going to be a bunch of people saying "you need a $150 Flukes for real accuracy..."

Unless you're concerned whether or not you bias your tubes to 19.3654 as opposed to 19.3653, I think the $25 one will be fine.

Hey Nick, Which $25 from Home Depot did you get? This is more or less the price I'm aiming at.

I have seen many different meters, and I want it to be able to read straight-forward Mv. I don't want the hassle of making conversions, as simple as they may be. Can yours do that?

Just get any DIGITAL multimeter. I got one for $20 at Sears that I think it easier to use than Nicks to be honest. I tried to use his once and could not figure out how to use it.

Matt plugged MY multimeter into his amp and the digital readout read "FUKK.YU", so he still has some bitterness about it.

Next Year Bro!!! You mean see us in action insulting each other or playing?!?

And, of course I am kidding here. Nick is a actually a much better player than I am.

I wouldn't say that I'm a better player... I would say that I know more theory. Matt is actually much more consistent of a player, once he has the parts down.

I try to wing it more, and fall on my ass sometimes.

I rely on theory a lot too. I'm working on my ear, but I'm not there yet. So theory is my lifeline.
